Our Water
The free flowing organic spring water you are buying naturally flows from a spring under a very large sandstone rock located in the hill across the creek from the original water kiosk. Water has been flowing from under this rock as long as anyone can remember.
The building located just below the Spring is called the Spring House. Inside the Spring House the spring water is strained and stored in large tanks.
The spring water then comes underground in pipes across the bridge into the building called the water kiosk where you can fill your own jugs. Here the water is filtered two times using one micron absolute filters and disinfected with an ultraviolet light just before it enters your bottle.  The spring water does not have any chemicals added, such as chlorine or ozone to disinfect your bottle, so you must make sure your bottles are clean.
We  perform quarterly tests  for bacteria.
People have asked us how our spring water is different from bottled spring water. Our water is 100% natural just as it comes from the spring, bottled spring water may not be.  Bottled water has to use  processes needed to maintain shelf life of bottled water, which also may unintentionally remove the colloidal minerals and other natural chemicals in the water from the topsoils .
Colloids are very small particles less than one micron in size (one micron is 0.000039 inches), which is smaller than the size of bacteria (2 microns). These colloids are made of silica, calcium, and magnesium. They are not round but are flat plates with large surface areas. The surface area of a stack of colloidal minerals compared to a grain of sand of the same weight would be over 10,000 times greater. The large surface area is negatively charged and attracts minerals and nutrients like a magnet. Without colloidal minerals, plants could not survive. Although you can't see these colloids, they are in our spring water. If you want to know if your water has colloids, add a very small amount of salt to the water. If they are there, the salt will cause the colloids to stick together, large enough for you to see.
Organic spring water also has traces of other natural chemicals and enzymes from plants, mushrooms and other organisms in the topsoil. Well water, which is deeper, normally doesn't have these natural chemicals or colloids.  For instance the USDA  Agricultural Research Service is working with South Korea's Chungnam National University to extract a lectin from a mushroom that may be used to protect poultry from a parasitic disease by putting it into the water.
If we were to sell our water in a store as bottled spring water, we would also unintentionally remove these colloidal minerals and traces of natural chemicals , which are a natural part of the spring water that human beings have drank for millions of years and evolved  from.  You can buy and add colloids to your water but not the traces of natural earth chemicals, but with our spring water you get both, naturally. The only way that we can provide 100% organic free flowing spring water  is to let you fill your own jugs.
Our promise to you:  We will provide only free flowing, organic  water from our spring. We will add no chemicals nor remove any minerals and will lab test it for your assurance.
